Motorcycle rider arrested after dangerous high-speed chase in Walker county

The Walker County Sheriff’s Department arrested and charged a 34 year old motorcycle rider with multiple offenses after he led them on a dangerous high-speed chase, Wednesday evening. It started southbound on Highway 27 coming out of the city of laFayette and ended on Chamberlain Road. The pursuit started when a Walker County deputy attempted to pull the driver over. The Motorcyclist continued attempting to flee the deputy reaching speeds around 90mph. Christopher Dewayne Jones was charged with DUI-drugs, fleeing, reckless driving, willful obstruction, no proof of insurance, failure to obey stop sign, operating a motorcycle with wrong class of license, improper passing,… and more.
