Man arrested after leading multiple agencies on a pursuit in a stolen ambulance from Clayton County
A man is being held at the Bartow County Jail after leading multiple agencies on a pursuit in a stolen ambulance from Clayton County down I-75 early Tuesday morning, A BOLO (Be On The Look Out) for a stolen ambulance EMS Med 10 unit number 3945 was given out just after 1:00a.m. Tuesday morning. The stolen ambulance was reported stolen out of Clayton County the dispatcher advised they had GPS tracking on it and was tracking it on I-75 northbound near 293. Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to I-75 after the BOLO was given out. The stolen ambulance was quickly spotted near 293 on I-75 by an officer. The officer then got behind the stolen ambulance and waited for more help before attempting what would be a felony traffic stop. Once enough officers got into position they attempted a the traffic stop at which point the driver of the stolen ambulance took off from law enforcement failing to yield. The suspected driver identified as Scrivani Norman Louis of 29 School Street in North East White Georgia was only going 20mph in the far right lane at the time but quickly sped off once they attempted a traffic stop. Multiple law enforcement agencies from Bartow County gave chase north on I-75. Officers ahead of the pursuit deployed Spike strips, a device used by law enforcement to impede or stop the movement of wheeled vehicles by puncturing their tires. The spike strips successfully hit all four tires on the stolen ambulance continued northbound on I-75 in Bartow. Shortly after hitting the spike stripes the suspect Scrivani Louis then tried to strike police officers in their patrol vehicle with the stolen ambulance adding charges to his list. He reached speeds around 50mph at times. After the hitting a few more spike strikes the ambulances tires started to go flat causing
Scrivani Louis too have to stop. Scrivani then attempted to flee on foot before quickly being arrested by law enforcement. Emerson PD, Cartersville PD, Adairsville PD, Bartow SO, and GSP assisted in the pursuit of the stolen ambulance. Scrivani Louis is being charged
with Willful Obstruction of Law Enforcement Officers-Misdemeanor (Misdemeanor) Aggravated Assault (Felony), Aggravated Assault (Felony), Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer for a Felony (Felony), Theft by Receiving Stolen Property-Felony (Felony) his property bond was set at $19,500.00
