Firefighters battle early morning house fire in LaFayette

Firefighters responded to a report of a fully involved vacant house fire Shaw Street at Farris Street in LaFayette. Walker County 911 received the call of the house fire just after 12:00 AM Wednesday morning. Responding units included LaFayette engine 24, Walker County Emergency Services station 11, Company 8 (Walker Prison) along with LaFayette Police Department and Puckett EMS unit on standby. When firefighters and officers arrived on scene they found a fully involved house. Crews quickly went to work attacking the flames. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
