Update: The Walker County Sheriff's Office says the GBI Crime Laboratory has identified the body of 49-year-old Amy Renee Cantrell from Catoosa County Georgia. Investigators say Cantrell's body had been in the woods almost a month. They say Cantrell was not reported missing at the time.

Walker County authorities released information on the body found Saturday afternoon. Law enforcement officials say the body appears to have been in the remote area off High Road in Cloudland for about four weeks. Walker County Officials also say back on March 19th a vehicle was found abandoned on private property close to where the body was found today. The Walker County Sheriff’s Office says they do not have a missing person investigation related to this case. The cause and manner of death are still under investigation. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Walker County Sheriff’s Office.
