Firefighters battle house fire in Dade County Sunday afternoon

Dade County firefighters along with assistance from Walker County Emergency Services battle a house fire on 2493 Griff Johnson Road in Menlo. The call came in just before 4:00 PM Sunday afternoon. Dade County New Salem Fire Engine 20, Rescue 28, Tanker 22, 26 along with help from Walker County Emergency Services Engine 18, 11 Truck, 18, Georgia Forestry along with Dade County Sheriff Office and Dade Medic 9 on standby all responded to the house fire. The house was fully engulfed upon firefighters arrival and is a total loss, it's

unknown how many people lived in the house. Georgia forestry responded due grass fire that had started it was quickly extinguish. No injuries were reported as a result of the house fire. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
