Crash in Bartow County sends child to Atlanta by Medical Helicopter

A single vehicle rollover accident occurred Friday morning around 11am. The accident happened on HWY 113 near Dry Creek Rd. Bartow County EMS and other agencies responded to the scene. Once EMS arrived on the scene they found two patients injured. The male driver was complaining of minor injuries and was transported to Cartersville Medical Center for evaluation of his injuries. The second patient an 11 year old female had a altered level of consciousness and would not respond to the EMS crew. A medical helicopter was requested for transport to Children's health care of Atlanta. Treatment of the female was started by Bartow County EMS and the helicopter crew continued treatment while transporting the patient. The GSP is investigating the cause of the accident.
