Walker County Emergency Services helped rescue a 43-year old Marietta women, after she fell while rock climbing at Pigeon Mountain Saturday. Emergency crews received a call around 4pm that the woman had fallen. She hit her head during the fall, but never lost consciousness.

When crews arrived, they discovered the woman fell about 10-feet off a bluff. Due to the remote location and rough terrain, it took several hours to pull her to safety. Emergency crews transported the woman to Erlanger at 7:25pm for treatment. The incident occurred in the Rocktown area.
