Rome police investigating Armed robbery of convenience store

Rome Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Hi-Tech convenience store at 410 South Broad Street. According to Rome Police reports, officers responded to the business just after 4 a.m. Sunday in reference to a robbery in progress. The clerk told police that a black male, wearing all black and a mask came into the store, pointed a gun to his head and stated: “Give me all the money or I will kill you otherwise.” The clerk opened the cash register and gave the suspect all the money, which was around $1,500. The incident was caught on surveillance video.
