Two vehicle crash on Highway 48 sends two to the hospital Monday afternoon

Two people were transported to the hospital after a crash near the intersection of Highway 48, Filter Plant Road at Mahan Road. The crash happened just after 1:00 Monday afternoon. Engine 9, Squad 4, Two Redmond EMS medics along with Chattooga Sheriff deputies and Georgia State Patrol all responded to the crash. Georgia State Patrol (GSP) Rome Post 38 is investigating the crash, unknown what happened at this time.
