Rome Fire Department responds to house fire on Reece Drive

Floyd County 911 Received a call about a house fire at 84 Reece Drive around 10:00 A.M. Saturday morning. The person said that his neighbors house was on fire. Engine 8, Tanker 1, Quint 5, Squad 1, Battalion 1, 2 Along with a Redmond EMS unit on standby and Floyd County Police officer for traffic all responded to the house fire. Engine 8 was the first on scene advising a single story structure with smoke showing from side A and B. Engine 8 quickly went into offense attack mode. No injuries were reported from the fire and it's unknown what caused the fire.
