Domestic at Calhoun convenience store results in murder-suicide

The Calhoun Police are investigating a domestic disturbance at a convenience store that ended in a murder and suicide. Officers responded around 7 p.m. Friday evening, to the Calhoun Tobacco and Food Mart located at 1402 South Highway 41. Officials say 18-year-old store clerk Valerie Castille was found laying unconscious on the floor behind the store counter. She suffered a gunshot wound to her arm and her side. Officers gave first aid, but Castille was pronounced deceased on the scene by medics. Officers also saw Victor Andres Pacheco running away from the store, and then heard a single gunshot from the nearby Stone Loop area. Officials say Pacheco was found deceased from a self inflicted gunshot wound near 116 Stone Loop.
