Driver injured after serious crash on East Highway 136 in Walker county

Georgia State Patrol (GSP) is investigating single vehicle crash, the crash happened on East Highway 136 near the county line Friday afternoon in Walker County. Walker County 911 revived the call just before 2:00 pm. The driver of the white jeep sustain multiple injuries from the crash. Engine 11, Medic 9 along with Walker County Sheriff's officer's and Georgia State Patrol responded to the crash. According to GSP the driver of the jeep was traveling north bound when he fell asleep. The driver ran off the road striking two trees before being thrown back onto the road and coming to a stop. GSP Trooper at the scene said the driver was defiantly lucky to be alive and credited his seat belt he was wearing with saving him from far worse injuries.
