UPDATE: The Georgia State Patrol released more information on a motorcycle wreck that happened Wednesday morning on Highway 27 in the Gore area. On Wednesday at approximately 11:05 a.m. a Georgia State Patrol Trooper was traveling north on Highway 27 in the Gore area coming from the Floyd Superior Court. The trooper observed a red and white motorcycle turn onto Highway 27 north from an intersecting roadway. The motorcycle did not have a tag. The trooper was behind the motorcycle, at a slightly extended distance, for several miles. He then observed the driver of the motorcycle accelerate quickly. The trooper checked the speed of the motorcycle with his RADAR at a top speed of 95 miles per hour in a 65 mile per hour zone. The trooper activated his emergency equipment to initiate a traffic stop. The driver did not stop and continued north at slightly above the speed limit. The driver then attempted to channel the motorcycle into the wide, grass median. The trooper was able to successfully channel the motorcycle to the median where the driver had to reduce his speed as a result. The driver tried to make it back to the roadway to gain speed, but was unable to gain much traction due to the wet ground and lost control of the motorcycle. The driver crashed, throwing the driver and passenger from the motorcycle. The trooper took the driver into custody and requested an ambulance. The driver was identified as Kyle Boston, age 34. He and his female passenger were transported to Floyd Medical Center and released. Mr. Boston was booked into Chattooga County Jail. He was found to be driving on a revoked license and was on felony and misdemeanor probation. The motorcycle had no registration or insurance. The Georgia State Patrol Continues to investigate the incident
