Wesley Weldon the brother of a Georgia state representative Tom Weldon is still on the loose following a manhunt Wednesday afternoon on Potts Road. Catoosa County Sheriff Gary Sisk said, his deputies began searching for Wesley Weldon, around 12:30 p.m. today after he escaped an attempted arrest by law enforcement for charges of attempted murder and kidnapping. Law enforcement searched the area of Potts Road with multiple units but did not find Weldon. Sheriff Sisk says investigators believe Weldon is no longer in the area, so there's no risk to the public. Wesley “Gage” Weldon. Weldon is a 41 year old white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5’10” tall and weighs 195 pounds. His last known address is 1172 Potts Road Ringgold, GA If you have any information about the whereabouts of Wesley Weldon, call the Catoosa County Sheriff Office at 706-935-2323 or 911. Wesley was arrested previously back in August of last year charged with shooting assault after he was shot in foot. He was also charged with possession of tools for the commission of a crime, possession of meth, possession of morphine, possession of a firearm or knife while trying to commit a crime.
