Authorities say two people were hurt, one seriously, after a 3-car accident on Highway 27 in front of Saddle Ridge Middle School in Rock Spring, Thursday morning in Walker County. The crash happened at about 7:30 am as parents were dropping students off at the school. An ambulance rushed one woman to Erlanger Hospital with serious injuries. Police say one of the drivers will be cited for failure to yield. GSP was on scene investigating the accident. The Georgia Department of Transportation responded to an online petition about a red light at that same intersection of Saddle Ridge, saying they could put one in if the local school board or county government would agree to pay the power bill.
