Gordon County Fire & Rescue responded to a house fire Thursday January 12th. upon arrival they found a house completely involved in flames. The family and pets made it out of the house safely without injury. The fire was believed to have started due to electrical issues. Family was displaced after another house fire in Walker County, Walker County dispatchers said firefighters arrived to 411 Highway 201 just before 9:00 a.m Sunday morning. No one was hurt, but the home is a total loss. The fire was near the Whitfield County line so they requested mutual aid from Whitfield County Fire Station 6. Firefighters battled the fire into the lunch hour. The American Red Cross was called to the scene to help the family. Firefighters said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Just after 8:00 AM in Gordon County Gordon County Fire & Rescue responded to a house fire at 8 Hammond Dr SW, Plainville, GA. When firefighters arrived on scene they found a large flames showing throughout the entire residential structure. Battalion, 1 Engine, 1, 3, 5, 6 Rescue, 1 Tanker, 5 all responded to the fire. no one was injured in the fire.
