Around 12:00 am early Sunday morning a female who was believed to be intoxicated fled from a Summerville Police Department check point leading Chattooga Sheriff deputies on a high speed chase in a mini van down Highway 27 into Walker County. The high speed pursuit continued reaching speeds over 100 miles per hour. The chase went down Highway 27 into Walker County continuing at high speeds before turning onto East Rogers Road and stopping. The female who has not been named was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit and a scuffle/fight with deputies. There was believed to be three juveniles in the vehicle when the chase started. Great work by Chattooga County SO and Summerville PD! As always you can also listen to the chase below.
