Dade County firefighters battle multi-story house fire Wednesday morning

Multi-story log cabin destroyed after Wednesday morning house fire. Volunteer firefighters from Dade County responded to the multi-story residential house fire on Sunset Drive on top of Lookout Mountain Wednesday morning just after 9:30 AM. The large house fire could be seen all the way from the valley. Engine 24, 10, Trenton-Dade 1, South Dade 53, Tanker 22, 3 along with Rescue 25 and Truck, 1 all responded to the fire on Lookout Mountain in Dade. Medic EMS unit 423 was also on standby during this incident. Engine 24 was first arrive on scene and advised a fully involved structure fire. They thought at first there was a possible female inside the house but It was later said that there was no one inside the house during the fire. A neighbor was able to rescue a dog from the house fire before firefighter arrived. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
