One person transported by Life Force after head-on crash on East Highway 136 in Villanow

Life force responded Monday afternoon to East Highway 136 in Villanow after head-on crash involving a Semi and Van. Just after 12:30 pm Walker county 911 received a call about a Head-on crash involving a Semi and a vehicle on East Highway 136 shutting down all lanes of traffic causing delays. First responders rushed to the scene of the accident. Off duty paramedic advised there was four injured with entrapment. Dispatch quickly put Life Force on standby and advised Puckett EMS. Due to the length of the extraction EMS went a head launched Life Force to the scene. Engine 1 Help set up the Landing Zone (LZ) in the field beside Ponder Creek Road. Life Force 3 responded and transported the patient once they were extracted by fire crews. Both vehicles received heavy damaged. GSP investigated the serious head-on crash. Unknown what happened at this time we will continue to update you as we learn more information.
