Two escapees from Tennessee arrested after a wild high speed chase of a stolen truck ends on I-75 in

Georgia State Patrol has confirmed that police were involved in a lengthy high-speed-chase of a stolen commercial truck with two escaped inmates from Tennessee. The Two assaulted a Deputy during the jail break and robbed a convenience store The chase originally started in Tennessee southbound on I-75. GSP was notified of the chase around 8:00 pm Friday evening. Hamilton County Sheriffs department started the high speed chase. Multiple Tennessee agencies assisted in the chase before turning the chase over to Georgia State Patrol once they crossed into Georgia. Catoosa and Whitfield County Deputies assisted GSP with the chase. Law enforcement agencies attempted multiple times to deploy spike/stop sticks on I-75 to stop the vehicle. Due to the size of the truck stop sticks was the only option to slow down/stop the stolen truck. The stop sticks were successful flattening some tires and eventually stoping the truck near mile marker 329 on I-75. Two suspects were taken into custody without incident. The truck is said to be stolen out of Sevier County, Tennessee. Very little has been confirmed at this time we will update when things are released. Originally story about the escape: A pair of inmates who busted out of their cells after assaulting a guard tried to hold up a convenience store Friday morning, police said. Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies have been hunting for 27-year-old Matthew Robert Porter and 24-year-old Adam Quinn Lethco since they escaped from the Jefferson County Work House just after midnight. The two are considered armed and dangerous, police said. Officials have already caught two other inmates who fled with Lethco and Porter. The on-the-lam duo tried to rob an E-Z Stop in Sevierville, about 15 miles southwest of the Dandridge prison they escaped, around 5 a.m. Friday. They fled the scene before police responded to the report of a robbery.The four inmates broke out of the prison around 12:15 a.m. Friday after attacking a deputy when he came by their cell to check on Lethco, who has a hand injury. They stole the deputy’s keys and fled in his car, which had a gun inside of it, police said.Deputies found the stolen Chevy abandoned off of Highway 411, and found escaped inmate Jimmy Moore, 22, not from it. They found a second escaped prisoner, 26-year-old Richard Lorenz, around 3:45 a.m.Both Moore and Lorenz were taken to the Jefferson County jail and charged with assaulting an officer and escaping from prison, WBIR reported.
