State and local authorities have been actively searching for a pair that had stolen a Carterville Police Vehicle recently. Rudy Lee Vinson and Annastasia Nicole Earwood was arrested around 6:00 pm Friday evening after a brief police chase that started in Alabama and ended Georgia. US Marshals attempted to arrested the pair in Cleburne County, Alabama when they fled in a vehicle. Authorities with the US Marshals chased them into Georgia where officers used spike stripes to end the chase on Hwy 78 just east of Tallapoosa. The female was apprehended quickly. The male fled on foot and supposedly carjacked a nearby vehicle. Authorities were notified that the suspect drove to Wal-Mart in Bremen. Authorities with US Marshals, GBI, GSP and other local law enforcement rushed to Wal-Mart where the suspect was arrested after trying to run on foot. This is still a very active investigation that is going on. As soon as more information is released we will share.
