Multiple Police Chases In Walker County End In Arrest

Tuesday afternoon shortly before 2:30 pm a Walker County Deputy attempted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle fled from the deputy onto West Reed Road in LaFayette. Suspects tossed drugs and other evidence out of the window during the pursuit. The vehicle stopped shortly after and the male suspect ran on foot leading the deputy on a foot brief pursuit. Multiple deputies along with the Georgia State Patrol responded to assist with the chase. The suspects are identified as Peyton Matthews, Terrie Lynn Gideon, and Mallory Denise Spencer, all having a lengthy criminal history.
Wednesday in the early morning hours around 2:30 am a walker county deputy attempted to pull over a Stolen vehicle from East Ridge Tennessee on Highway 2 . When he went to initiate a traffic stop on the stolen vehicle it took from the deputy. The chase went into Catoosa County where Catoosa law enforcement got Involved and help with the chase. The vehicle crash and the suspect bailed on foot. Officers were able to recover the stolen vehicle.
A vehicle ran from Georgia State Patrol later that day around 10:30 am. Georgia state Patrol Trooper 789 Attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a Orange Dodge Dakota with Tennessee plates for speeding, reckless driving, and failure to maintain lane. The suspect fled from the Trooper at a very high rate of speed. The vehicle continue at high rates of speeds going 85 in a 35 at one point. Walker county Deputy deployed spike strips at the MAPCO Mart
Convenience Store in Flintstone which deflated his tires. Troopers and Walker County was soon able to take the suspect into custody after slowing him down.
