Update: Suspect Identified in Yesterdays high speed chase as Douglas Fredrick Bray who is believed to be from Rome, Ga. The suspect is being charged with Fleeing Or Attempting To Elude Police Officer. He is being held for Floyd County Sheriff's office and Floyd County Police. has a lengthy Criminal History from local articles and booking history. The suspect lead Multiple agencies on a High speed pursuit through two multiple counties yesterday morning.The pursuit started in Bartow County and ended in a minor crash with a Bartow County Deputy in Floyd County yesterday. Just shortly before 11:00 am Wednesday Bartow County Sheriff deputies attempted to perform a traffic stop on a blue van in the area of hwy 113 and Richland Dr. The driver failed to stop and speed off outbound towards Polk county. Leading multiple agencies on a high speed chase through multiple counties. The traffic stop was Originally for window tint and a tail light.
The pursuit tuned on old Hwy 113 at Pastabilities, where the suspect let 2 females out and throw out some possible drugs. Suspect continued throughout the streets of Taylorsville at
high speeds passing on double yellow. The suspect headed into Floyd County after going through a field.Law Enforcement tried stop sticks but the suspect was able to miss them. The chase went into Floyd County and ended both the suspect and deputy crashed on Morris rd at Noles in Aragon. The deputy requested an ambulance on the hurry. Agencies from Bartow
County Sheriffs, Floyd County Police and Georgia State Patrol assisted in the pursuit. No further information on the chase at this time or the condition of both deputy and suspect.
