Vehicle is stolen from Rock Springs Tire Tuesday afternoon

Just before 12:00 pm Tuesday, Walker County 911 received a call from Rock Spring Tire that an unknown person had stolen a vehicle. An employee at Rock Springs Tire told dispatchers that an unknown suspect had pulled up and just walked up to a the Dodge pick up and stole it. The suspect pulled up in an S -10 pickup truck got out walked up the Dodge and hopped in. The vehicle still had the keys in it and the doors unlocked. Employees immediately called the owner of the dodge truck to ask if he had anyone coming to pick it up, he advised he did not. While they were talking to the owner the suspect drove off with the vehicle from Rock Springs Tire lot and headed south bound on Highway 27. An employee quickly jumped into the suspect's vehicle that he left behind with the keys in and door wide open. The employee followed the stolen vehicle with the suspect driving down Highway 27 into Lafayette. law enforcement quickly located them LaFayette Police Officers along with Walker County Sheriff deputies quickly got behind the stolen vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. The suspect and the stolen vehicle was finally stopped near N Main St & Culberson Ave, LaFayette, GA. After what law enforcement called a slow pursuit.
