LaFayette resident leads Chattanooga police on high speed chase after suspected drive by shooting

Wednesday evening, a Chattanooga Police officer heard several shots fire near the intersection of Shallowford Road and Hamilton Place Boulevard at which point the officer notice a silver Saab Q5 flee the area at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was driven by LaFayette resident 21 year old Hayley McCormack. The vehicle fled from the officer after they attempted to pull the vehicle over. The vehicle traveled west on Shallowford Rd, north on I-75 exiting at MM20 then returning via I-75 south A tire on the suspect vehicle blew causing the vehicle to stop one mile south of Exit 20. No parties involved were injured. Several shell casings were located at the initial scene on Shallowford Rd. Three suspects were taken into custody on the felony stop. One weapon was recovered from the vehicle Suspects included are: Akello Miller, 20 years old - validated gang member, Joseph Brooks, 20 years old - validated gang member, Hayley McCormack, 21 years old
