Brush fire at the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park Wednesday

Brush fire was reported Wednesday around 10:00 at the Chickamauga Battlefield unknown how the fire started. Georgia Forestry along with Mutual aid from local fire departments around the region and a Helicopter air unit responded to help put the fire out. The fire is now under control and crews are on scene working to put it out completely. Popular trail remains closed until crews leave. Unknown how the fire started at this time. Only about a half acre caught fire
