Chattooga County first responders have a busy Tuesday

Chattooga County firefighters have a busy Tuesday responding to multiple calls, fires and accidents. Multiple fires including Two Wildfires and a camper fire. Two wildfires Tuesday happened in rural area of the county one was reported around 7:00 Tuesday morning in the northern part of Trion near Narrows Rd. The second wildfire was reported in the afternoon around 2:00 in Menlo on State Line Road a structure was reported in extreme danger. Georgia Forestry along with Chattooga County fire and Redmond EMS responded to the wildfire near the Alabama state line. Shortly after fire crews were dispatched to the wildfire in Menlo fire crews were dispatched to a Camper/RV fire on Highway 100. The camper was fully engulfed when fire personal arrived on scene. The RV was total loss as seen in the photos below. Fire crews also responded to numerous accidents around the county including Highway 27, Highway 100 and Trion Teloga Rd all had injuries. Unknown any further information on the wildfires and other incidents at this time.
