LaFayette House Destroyed After Fire Claims Three Pet Dogs

Three dogs perished in a fire on South Main Street in LaFayette Monday afternoon. According to LaFayette Fire Chief Robert Busby Jr., on Monday, Oct. 10, around 3:30 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 600 block of South Main Street due to a residential fire. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. Three dogs perished in the fire, but no one else was injured. LaFayette Fire Department, Walker County Emergency Services, Walker Prison Station 8 firefighters, and LaFayette Police Department responded to the scene.
