Fire At Mount Vernon Mills In The Finishing Plant, Frame Room

Shortly after 2:00 PM Tuesday afternoon Station 4, 9 and 12 were paged to a fire at Mount Vernon Mills in the finishing plant, frame room. Truck 4, Engine 9,Engine 12 and a Redmond EMS unit responded to the fire. Fires at the mill are not uncommon, they happen every so often. Fire crews arrived on scene
establishing Mount Vernon command. Crews worked quickly to get the fire knocked down and putt the fire out. All station's that responded to the fire were released from command and back in service a little after 3:30 PM.
