House destroyed after fire on Henderson St. in LaFayette Georgia

LaFayette Fire Department, along with the Georgia Department of Corrections Fire Rescue and LaFayette Police Department, responded to a residential fire in the 700 block of Henderson Street in LaFayette After a LaFayette Police officer was waved down and alerted about the fire. According to Walker County 911, firefighters were dispatched on Monday, Aug. 15, at 4:58 p.m. to the fire. Puckett EMS was called to check out a firefighter for heat exhaustion injuries have been reported due to the fire as no one was present when the fire broke out. A family dog may have perished in the blaze. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
